A message from Leelanau Christian Neighbors . . .

Hello supporting churches,

This a very difficult time for us all but especially difficult for those living in such fragile situations. Although renters can't be evicted and utility companies can't shut off service, our Neighbors, who have lost their jobs or are living paycheck to paycheck, will never be able to survive this long term without our help.

LCN is determined to continue to serve our Neighbors in need through our Baby Pantry, Food Pantry, Blessings in a Backpack and Neighborhood Assistance Ministry (NAM) programs. We have set up a special Covid-19 Community Response fund to respond to this crisis. You can donate by mailing a check to LCN, P O Box 196, Lake Leelanau 49653 or by donating on our website: LeelanauChristianNeighbors.org

Our food suppliers are having a hard time filling their own warehouses and therefor are not able to fill all of our food orders. We have had to find other, more expensive, sources for food to stock our shelves. We expect more Neighbors accessing our food and baby pantries and more needing financial assistance for everyday expenses.

We have streamlined our services and are working with minimum volunteers. Thank you for your support and may you all be well.

Mary Stanton

Executive Director
